Seeding and Aeration
Anderson Brothers Enterprises offers custom seeding and aeration for all your athletic fields. We use a seed-a-vator that is a combination aerator and seeder in one. It uses solid tines that punch 9 holes/sq. ft at a depth of 3.25”. By using the solid tines, aeration can be performed with minimal disruption to the playing surface. Aeration improves drainage and reduces compaction. It also adds pore space which encourages root growth.
Core Aeration
Anderson Brothers Enterprises offers ore aeration generally allows for greater compaction relief. We use a Vertidrain 7316 with ½” or ¾” hollow core tines. Both deep-tine aeration and shallow-tine aeration (with a minimum tine length of 3 inches) do a good job of getting water, air, and nutrients to the root zone
Lip control Aeration
Anderson Brothers Enterprises offers a core aeration to help control lip development on baseball and softball fields. We use a Vertidrain 7007 with ¾” tines. Once the aeration is complete you can rake up the cores and remove them to help remove dirt form the lip.
